Delivering Value, Convenience, and Superior Service

The store opened and has been in continuous operation for 33 years, while expanding around 1995. This location does not have a gunsmith on site, but the location provides Mounting and Boresighting scopes while you wait. Installing sling swivels and studs while you wait and Basic cleaning services.

I called about a problem I was having with a gun I purchased somewhere else, and he told me to come by so he can take a look. When I got there I received GREAT SERVICE . The man who helped me (forgive me I forgot his name) was extremely helpful. Will do business with this location soon.

Second review on the same place, everybody at the store was friendly, asked if I needed any help and you have a question, a knowledgeable group of people with an outstanding gun smith. I drive 62 MIles one way to Carter country with the comfort knowing that 99% of the time they have what I want at a good price or 3 or $4 cheaper

Nice firearm selection, and stellar service. This location is limited on accessories for the AR15 platform, but has everything else you need for your hunting season.

Hunting Video Games vs. Real Life

For many people today, video games provide a much-needed escape from reality. Hunting video games are no different. Games like Big Buck Hunter, the Hunter-Call Of The Wild, Duck Season and many others offer a fun indoor alternative to the ultimate outdoor sport. ...

Texas Deer Hunting With Carter’s Country

In the early 70’s a trip to Carter’s Country with my older brother, a former Marine and Vietnam Vet, was much more than just an opportunity to prove my marksmanship to my hero. I knew if I did, it would expedite my opportunity to go hunting with him and get to sit...

Texas Dove Hunting 2018

Dove hunting in Texas has many fans for many reasons. It’s fun, it can be relatively inexpensive, grilled dove is delicious and a dove hunt in early September is a great chance to see just how much you can actually sweat while wearing camouflage, just in case...

The dumbest thing anyone could ever say to me is “Don’t move! There’s a snake!”. Although it is technically good advice, there is no way I’m staying still if I know I’m near a snake. Call me a sissy, a girly man or pretty much anything you want. The fact is,...

Texas Hog Hunting

Now is a great time to try your hand at hog hunting. Spring turkey season is wrapping up and it will be a while before dove, duck and deer season come back around. In the meantime that leaves hogs as a Texan’s most viable hunting option. Texas has more hogs than...
